DC Bead® is a loadable microsphere which is used for Trans-arterial Chemoembolization (TACE) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The microspheres are selectively injected into the blood vessels supplying the cancer cells in hepatocellular carcinoma.

  • INDICATIONS:
    1. Hepatocellular carcinoma 
    2. Metastatic colorectal carcinoma to liver 

⇒ It is available in 3 sizes: 

    1. 70-150 um
    2. 100-300 um
    3. 300-500um
  • It can be loaded with: 
    1. Doxorubicin for Hepatocellular carcinoma  
    2. Irinotecan for Metastatic colorectal carcinoma.
